Our Story

About Journey Joy Travel

Long before Journey Joy Travel became a travel company, it was simply a dream.

From the Founder

It All Started in a Small Berber Village

My name is Ibrahim, and I was born and raised in a small Amazigh (Berber) village in the heart of Morocco's High Atlas Mountains. Growing up, life was simple. Our days were filled with mountain walks, olive trees, family gatherings, and the traditions that have been passed down through generations.

Hospitality wasn't something we learned — it was simply how we lived. Every visitor was welcomed with a smile, a glass of mint tea, and a place at the table. Looking back, I didn't realize those moments would shape the person I would become.

As I grew older, I began exploring more of my own country. From the bustling streets of Marrakech to the endless dunes of the Sahara, from hidden valleys in the Atlas Mountains to the Atlantic coast, I discovered that Morocco is far more diverse and beautiful than many people imagine.

Along the way, I met travelers from all over the world. They were searching for the "real Morocco" — not just famous landmarks, but authentic experiences, meaningful conversations, and places that guidebooks often overlook.

Many of them asked me the same question:

"Can you show us Morocco through your eyes?"

That simple question changed everything.

What started as helping a few friends and travelers soon became something much bigger. I found myself creating itineraries, introducing guests to local families, guiding them through mountain villages, sharing homemade meals, and watching them fall in love with my country just as I had.

That's when Journey Joy Travel was born.

Not as a company built around selling tours, but as a way to share my home with people who wanted to experience Morocco beyond the ordinary.

Today, Journey Joy Travel creates carefully designed journeys that combine Morocco's iconic destinations with its hidden treasures. Whether you're wandering through the colorful souks of Marrakech, spending a night beneath the stars in the Sahara Desert, hiking through Amazigh villages in the High Atlas Mountains, or enjoying fresh seafood on the Atlantic coast, every itinerary is crafted with one goal in mind — to help you experience Morocco as a local.

I believe the most memorable journeys aren't measured by the number of places you visit, but by the people you meet, the stories you hear, and the moments that stay with you long after you've returned home.

For me, every guest is more than a traveler. You're someone I'm proud to welcome into my country, my culture, and my way of life.

This is more than travel.

This is Morocco, through the eyes of someone who calls it home.
